Manual

Can I download the manual?

The general manual can be downloaded and covers the generic properties of the WATT DUBLIN and VALENCIA.

The main features are:

  • You can turn the bike on and off by pressing the button on the top (side) for 1.5 seconds.
  • Use arrow buttons to switch between speed levels 1 to 4.
  • You can activate the smart mode (mode 5) by pressing the top arrow for 1.5 seconds
  • You can turn on the display lighting by pressing the bottom arrow for 1.5 seconds
Is there a manual available for older models?

The manual for models WATT BOSTON, CALIFORNIA, BROOKLYN and NEW YORK can be downloaded here . These are models from 2020 to 2024.

Where can I find the manual for specific brand parts?

A number of parts may differ per model and have their own manual, including the Pentalock keyfob , Spaninga headlight and rear light . The BROOKLYN has an integrated display in the handlebars. You can find the manual here in Dutch  and English .

Delivery and Returns

Will the bicycle be delivered to my home?

Yes, you will receive your bike at home within 5 working days. The bike is then fully assembled with the accessories you ordered and completely ready to go on the road.

You will receive a track & trace code from WATT via email. We will call you or send you a text message two hours prior to delivery.

Can I really return my bike within 30 days?

Yes, that is possible. You don't just buy an e-bike. And ordering online is perhaps even more exciting. That is why at WATT you can use your bike for 30 days with a return guarantee.

If electric cycling turns out not to be for you and you want to return the bike, please contact customer service via chat.

Can I exchange my purchase?

If you wish to exchange items, we advise you to return the items and then place a new order on the website. This way you can see immediately whether the desired item is still available. If you place a new order, please note that you will receive a new invoice and order confirmation for this order. Keep this new invoice safe, this is also your proof of warranty.

Can I install a child seat?

Yes, a rear seat can be mounted using an adapter.

Can I return accessories?

Yes, that is possible. The following conditions apply to returning accessories:

  • You can only return goods that were purchased online from us. Purchases via a service point must also be returned to the service point.
  • The item is in unused condition and the item is returned in its original condition and, if reasonably possible, in undamaged and original packaging.
  • You can cancel the purchase agreement within 14 days after receipt of your order and without giving any reason. You are on time to cancel if you send the cancellation before this period has expired.
  • Returns must be accompanied by the official purchase invoice.
  • If you have paid an amount, this amount will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after cancellation, using the same payment method you used to pay. WATT will wait with refunding until it has received the goods back. No administration costs are associated with the refund.
  • Accessories can be returned to: Antwoordnummer ...... A stamp is not required.
  • The shipping costs and the risk of shipping from your address to our location cannot be recovered from WATT.
  • When you return an order in its entirety, you will receive the total invoice amount back. If you return an order partially, you will only receive the item value back.
  • If you return a damaged product, the amount to be reimbursed will be settled proportionally with the damage that occurred. You are therefore responsible for any depreciation that may occur.

Maintenance

How do I keep my bicycle in optimal condition?

Clean your bike regularly with soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid aggressive agents and a high-pressure cleaner.
Also clean your chain with a brush and soapy water. Dry it well and lubricate with a little oil or wax only the side where the chain touches the sprockets. Wipe off excess lubricant.
Clean brake discs only with brake cleaner.
In wet weather, squeaking brakes are normal. A few hard brakes often help.
A grinding noise in dry weather may indicate worn brake pads.
Replace this in time.
Immediately tighten or replace any loose parts or nuts and bolts to prevent further damage.

Tire pressure

Make sure your tires are always properly inflated. Check this regularly. Tires at the correct pressure will significantly extend their lifespan, minimize punctures and ensure an optimal range.

What is the range?

Generally between 40 and 70 km.
How far you can cycle on a full battery depends on various factors.
Wind, weight, rough terrain, temperature are factors that strongly influence the range.
The correct tire pressure also has an effect. Make sure your tires are always at the right pressure.

How many years of warranty do I get?

On our bikes we give a 3 year factory warranty on material and construction defects of the frame and the electrical components. On the battery we give a 2 year warranty or 500 charging cycles.

What are the warranty conditions?

The warranty is not transferable and expires when the bike is transferred to a new owner. Costs for assembly are for the account of the owner. Your invoice is also your proof of warranty. The following components, parts and facts are excluded from this warranty or lead to an exclusion of the warranty:

  • Damage due to normal wear and tear.
  • Damage due to weather conditions
  • Incorrect maintenance and damage due to incorrect cleaning products, tools such as high-pressure cleaners, etc.
  • Parts or accessories not originally supplied or replaced by WATT e-Mobility.
  • Wearing parts such as ball bearings, slide bearings, bearing bolts and screws, tires, brake pads, etc.
  • When the bicycle is technically modified without approval from WATT e-Mobility.
  • Consequential damage
  • Improper use of the bicycle
  • Consequences of a fall or collision
  • Commercial rental or used for purposes other than personal use

Yes, you can schedule an appointment for a test drive at one of our dealers.

Company bicycle (plan)

Via FiscFree or National Bicycle Projects (NFP)

How do I set up a bicycle plan for my employees?

You set up a bicycle plan via the work cost scheme. To make it easy for you, FiscFree or National bicycle projects (NFP) have set up a simple program to take the administrative worry off your hands.

The scheme works as follows: As an employer, you may donate 1.2% of an employee's total payroll tax-free. This budget is called "the free space" on which no income tax has to be paid. In this way, the WKR provides the employee with a price advantage of 37% to 52%, depending on his personal income tax situation. The best-known secondary employment conditions within the work costs scheme are the bicycle plan, an iPad or PC private scheme, telephone and company fitness.

Please note! If a company exceeds the “free space”, 80% tax must be paid on every additional euro spent. This ensures caution for the employer. However, if the lease arrangement is chosen, the “free space” is not used. This leaves more financial space in the work cost arrangement for other purposes.

How does a company bicycle work via an interest-free loan from your employer?

As an employer, you also have the option of offering the employee an interest-free loan to purchase a new bicycle. This can also be combined with the work cost scheme. You then repay the loan with a travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre of commuting. The employee must then live within a radius of 10 kilometres from his work.

How do I arrange a bicycle via FiscFree or National Bicycle Projects (NFP)?

As an employer, you may use an intermediary such as: FiscFree or National Bicycle Projects (NFP). They take the administrative care off the hands of employers.

To order, proceed as follows:

  • Choose your favorite bike and calculate the total price by placing an order in your shopping cart without checking out.
  • Pass the order on to FiscFree or NFP. Your employer has a contact person.
  • FiscFree or NFP will process the application and send you a bicycle card order code.
  • Send us your order code by email to: fietsvandezaak@wattebike.com . We will coordinate it further for you.
  • As soon as your application has been approved by FiscFree or NFP, we will deliver your bicycle to your home, ready to ride and fully assembled.
